Polyester (PET)
PET – polyethylene terephthalate is a type of polyester which is widely used for beverage packaging as well as for production of very strong and thin films with excellent physical properties.
PET films offer good transparency, high gloss and good mechanical properties, making them one of the most reliable packaging materials. One of the most essential qualities of the PET film is its high recycling capacity.
It is also characterised with:
- High strength and low extensibility
- Good gas and odor barrier
- Possibilities for printing and lamination
- High temperature resistance
